TYPICAL CABLE BUS APPLICATIONS

Power Bus Way electrical cable bus systems are the best solution for large power connections to transformers, switchgear, generators, motors, motor controls, inverters, existing bus duct systems, and UPS systems.

Power Bus Way cable bus systems are typically used in the following scenarios:

  • Where large amounts of current are required (600A – 8000A), and for voltages from 480V to 46kV.
  • Main incoming feeders and standby generator connections, and connecting switchboards to MCC, UPS, ATS, Tap Boxes, Etc.
  • Connecting turbines to outgoing power equipment for co-generation plants, biomass facilities, and hydro dams.

CUSTOM DESIGN & BUILD

Our engineering team will design a custom cable bus solution to meet your project needs. Our ability to work with clients in difficult situations results in practical solutions with cost-effective, functional, and reliable cable bus and bus bar systems.

Power Bus Way’s engineers can assist with and oversee your complete cable bus installation. This ensures that our product meets or exceeds your expectations. We work diligently together with you right from our initial quotation until the systems are in place and have been fully tested and commissioned.

CUSTOM FITTINGS & SOLUTIONS

We manufacture all our products in-house. As a result we have the unique ability to fabricate custom parts within days not weeks! This means that if we’re in the middle of your installation and we need a customized part we can have it ready in no time at all.

Our ability to manufacture all of our parts in-house is just another way we strive to serve you better, and save you money by avoiding extended installation and construction costs.

3D MODELLING & DESIGN

All of our custom designs are generated in 3D, which allows our customers to digitally preview their custom engineered system prior to production. As a result your installation time is drastically reduced when compared to other installation models. Our 3D modelling also allows us to avoid many potential issues that other companies won’t prepare for or avoid in advance on installation.

Our designs are compatible with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, and can easily be shared with clients.

QUOTATIONS

Power Bus Way engineers and designers have the knowledge and experience to provide detailed cable bus quotations quickly and accurately.

FIELD MEASUREMENTS

Our field measurement team is an important part of our cost-saving process. They ensure that as our design and cable bus installation moves forward quickly, and all measurements are accurate providing solutions in advance to any foreseeable challenges. Field measurements are performed by our expert field technicians in order to ensure accurate layout drawings. These drawings eliminate costly and time-consuming mistakes as we move forward with your project.

FAST MANUFACTURING & DELIVERY

Upon receipt of approved drawings, an order is immediately released to our production team. This ensures the timely delivery of your materials so installation can begin as quickly as possible.

Essentially our manufacturing and deliver process focuses on accuracy and speed: fast on-site response, fast drawings, fast manufacturing = Fast Delivery

EMERGENCY RESPONSE

Power Bus Way is known for our ability to react quickly in emergency situations, often providing a permanent resolution to problems within days. Custom accessories such as termination boxes, transition boxes, bus bar punching and bending, custom splitters and supports are manufactured in-house and can be provided quickly as part of your turnkey solution.

CABLE BUS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Our step by step demonstration video provides contractors with easy to follow guidelines for installation. Overall we design and manufacture our cable bus systems so they save you time and money when it comes to the installation process. When we design your cable bus system, we will support the installation process and ensure it goes smoothly from initiation until completion.

Detailed installation manual and drawings are provided with every project. These additional benefits are time-saving features that are unique to Power Bus Way. We include professional and easy-to-follow installation manuals and drawings with every job that leaves our factory.
