The MVC4 Medium Voltage Series Soft Starter is designed to start AC motors in any fixed speed application. It provides maximum protection with “True Thermal Modeling,” while allowing smooth, stepless control of acceleration and deceleration. 7.2kV Class – 400A


Motortronics MVF Series 7.2kV Class – 400A, ‘Non-Latching’ and ‘Latching’ Series of medium voltage three-phase vacuum contactors can be used in power systems with a rated voltage up to 7.2 kV and can be used for continuous AC operating currents of up to 400 amperes. Control voltage for the contactor is AC/DC 100~125V or AC/DC 200~230V*, including an auxiliary relay with 3 NO and 2NC contacts.

7.2kV Class – 630A, 800A


Motortronics MVF Series 7.2kV Class 630A and 800A, ‘Non-Latching’ Series of medium voltage three-phase vacuum contactors can be used in power systems with a rated voltage up to 7.2 kV and can be used for continuous AC operating currents of up to 800 amperes. Control voltage for the contactor is 110~120VAC or 220~230VAC*.

The MVF Series 7.2kV Class 630A and 800A Class contactors are non-latching and use constant-on electromagnetic coils to close, and hold closed the vacuum bottle contacts. When the power to the electromagnetic coil is removed, the vacuum chamber contacts spring open (termed as; electrically held contacts or non-latching contacts).

ME2 Series: Micro AC Drive

The ME2 Series is a compact AC drive that, depite its small size, has the features you need. With 150% overload capacity for one minute, the ME2 Series is fully rated and fully protected. Protection features include UL listed solid state overload, overvoltage, undervoltage, power loss ride-thru, stall revention , short circuit, ground fault protection and heat sink overtemp sensing. Designed to perfom, the ME2 Series offers FWD and REV inputs, plus two multi-function inputs which can be programmed for job, emergency stop, reset and preset speed. a multi-function N.O. relay output contact is available for indicating fault, at speed/frequency or run. Even DC injection braking is standard in the ME2 Series.

VCM Series is a compact, cost-effective drive with features typically found only in more complex and expensive AC drives. This full featured sensorless vector drive is recognized for being simple to set up, program and operate. Available in ratings from 0.5 to 75HP, the VCM Series is ideally for nearly any application. The convenient operator panel provides simple, yet informative interface during setup and operation. The tactile feedback keypad is used for programming the drive and motor speed can be controlled using either the keypad or the handy, built-in potentiometer. The alphanumeric display indicates operation, status and fault read-out and is easily visibile in low ambient light conditions. In addition, LED indicators provide direction of
rotation, operating status and drive output information. An optional two-line LCD display is available.

Electronic braking stops the load by injecting a controlled amount of DC current into a three phase AC motor. The ABC Series also eliminates any need for “plug reversing.” Reversing a load when it is still spinning creates mechanical shock which can cause equipment breakage and extended downtime. Maintenance Free Operation

Eliminate Costly Down Time Using the ABC Series electronic brake eliminates the wear and tear on mechanical brakes in the system. This means less time and money is spent replacing discs or pads (which is especially important given the “shorter life” material used in today’s mechanical brakes). Let the mechanical brake act as a holding brake and let the ABC Series do the stopping. The ABC Series eliminates the common (and also dangerous) practice of “jamming” equipment to stop the load. Easy to Install

The ABC Series microprocessor insures proper connections and coordinates system operation. Simply wire the ABC Series electronic brake into the motor starter circuit for a cost effective, maintenance-free means of bringing the motor and load to a stop. No isolation contactors, no additional logic wiring…it works right off the motor input leads! It’s as easy as A-B-C.

Easy to Select

The ABC Series units are sized by amperage and should be selected based on the application requirements. “Standard Duty” ratings are sized for 95 – 110% of motor FLA. “Extra Duty” ratings are sized for 150 – 250% of motor FLA. Specify maximum braking current and voltage when ordering.

Easy to Install

Whether retrofitting an existing starter or installing a new one, the MWH Series is easy to apply. Just wire it in parallel to the magnetic starter’s line and load connection, connect the necessary auxiliary
contacts and installation is complete.

Simple Adjustment

Output voltage is factory set to maintaina +5° to 10°C differential above ambient temperature. This adjustment can be used to trim the control as required for each application.

Self Protected

In addition to built-in fuse protection, the MWH Series features an RC snubber circuit across the SCR which protects it from any rapid rate of change in the system voltage. A metal oxide varistor (MOV) protects the unit against voltage spikes for reliable, maintenance-free operation.

Fully Automatic Operation

Designed for fully automatic operation, the MWH Series turns on when the motor starter has turned off. A built-in one minute timer ensures that the motor magnetic field has collapsed before it injects DC power into the windings. When the motor is restarted, the MWH Series instantly turns off. No operator interface is required… the MWH Series is in control.

 

Built-in Overload Sensing

The MWH Series had an optional shutdown input that can be connected to the N.O. auxiliary contact on the motor starter’s thermal overload relay. This will disable the motor winding heater control, preventing any additional heating in the motor and allowing for a faster motor cool down period. The MWH Series then goes back on-line after the overload relay is reset.

Ideal Alternative to Strip Heaters

Eliminate the cost and hassle of installing strip heaters into your motors. Simply wire up the MWH Series to generate heat throughout
the motor stator windings. The heat is dissipated evenly without the “hot spots” caused by strip heaters. Conduction of heat to the rotor, bearings and shaft is also more
effective which means maximized protection for the whole motor.
